Getting Rid of Weeds simply - Part 2

In a previous article, we discussed natural ways to get rid of weeds. There are a few more I am going to tell you about. Just keep in mind that not all chemicals are bad to use. They can indeed help assist before you do the natural approach.

Black plastic is a great way to kill everything in your yard, if you have a small yard. The best way to do this is to go to your local Lowes or Home Depot and ask for heavy gauge black plastic. If you buy enough of this, you should be able to get a nice discount. Most of the roles should come in fairly long strips, so you will not have to buy very much of it. Once you get home and spread out the plastic over your your yard, you will need to put some rocks on the edges of the plastic. You are going to be killing the grass and weeds by depriving them of sunlight. All grass and weeds will finally die without sunlight. It may take one to three months, depending on where you live to kill everything in your yard.

Plowing is other great way to get rid of the weeds in your yard. People that have large lawns use plowing as a method. You will want to plow down about 6 to 8 inches. After plowing down, you will need to take off the weeds and debris of the plower and then keep going. This will get easier as you go along and get the hang of using the plower.

Last, is to use a bulldozer. This may sound a bit crazy, but People that have a large yard will understand this. Once you get in your yard and start using a tiller or a plower, you will comprehend just how much work will need to be done to do a very big yard. You can rent a small bulldozer; you do not have to get some big huge thing that you see on building sites. All you need to do is adjust the blade on the bulldozer so that you're just scraping off the top layer of soil with the grass and weeds. This will make the job very easy and go very fast.
