Typically these types of doors are second doors built in front of exterior doors and usually come with screen panels to keep insects and dusts from entering your house even when both doors are opened. These doors are usually 8' feet tall and usually have 30" - 36" for the width with materials either made of wood, aluminum, and vinyl. Wood is the most traditional and offers an attractive look especially when painted and prepared carefully but it is not long lasting since it rots when exposed to weather changes. On the other hand, vinyl is the cheapest and great in concealing cuts and scratches but does not have reliable durability. Aluminum is the most durable and most elegant however it is the most expensive usually at 0. Aside form that, aluminum are also hard to clean and needs proper maintenance. Storm doors can either be styled with a full view, for ventilating and for a roll screen. Furthermore storm doors come in different colors and designs and such factors can greatly affect prices. When choosing to buy one, stick to the more durable type and save your self from constant door replacement and worries from the harsh elements against the environment.
